Who is Dinners with Class?
Dinners with class is the brain child of Chef James Jens. After over a decade of culinary experience ranging from Five Star resorts, pprivate country clubs, independent restaurants, and the corner café, I craved the chance to provide personalized meals and help others understand the simplicity of cooking. Highlights of my culinary experiences include: The American Club & Blackwolf Run Golf Course (Kohler), Caneel Bay Resort (St. John’s USVI), The Blue Star Restaurant & Ptarmigan Country Club (Colorado), and The Opera House (Madison).
At our Cedar Grove hobby farm, I, along with my wife Jessica, have two children, Aspen and Ian, a dog, a couple of cats, horses, chickens and a bunny. Besides cooking and entertaining, I enjoy riding my motorcycle, learning to sail, golfing and being a dad.
Dinners with Class was born out of a vision to promote, educate, and provide a dinning experience containing your favorite ingredients.
First, I ask you for a list of 10-20 “must have” ingredients. Using those ingredients, I personally create your individualized dinner party or cooking class. The cooking occurs at your residence or event location— of course, you and your guests are happy to watch and ask questions.
What can be done? The sky is the limit: interactive dinner parties, backyard fiestas, anniversaries, cooperate outings and much, much more.
